Founded in 1903, the club is located just outside the village of Uplawmoor off the A736 in Renfrewshire, making it easily accessible from Glasgow and Ayrshire for anyone making a visit.

The superb, though short, course has all the features of a great course, including water on several holes and various tough approach shots. It is set in the quaint surroundings of the Renfrewshire countryside and offers a most enjoyable test of golf that is well known among travelling golfers of the Central region.

Its undulations are a huge element of play at the course and can trick you into changing your shot at the last minute – try to resist that temptation. There are a number of eye-catching holes at Caldwell, although none more so than the par-3 third.

Measuring 160 yards, “Risk an’ Hope” as it is called, truly lives up to its name with out of bounds on the right for the entire length of hole as you aim to hit into the long, narrow green. A great round of golf.
