Falkirk Tryst Golf Club was founded in 1885, and resides in Stenhousemuir, 3 miles north of the town of Falkirk which, in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries was a famed market town.

Although situated inland the course is surprisingly "links" as opposed to parkland in character. This is due to it being laid out on sandy soil and the course has been described by the Hon Professional to the R&A, John Panton, "as one of the best all year round courses in the area." On top of this the layout provides the opportunity to use every shot in the bag.
