The Greenock Golf Club was founded in 1890 and is located in a commanding position high above the town. In 1924 that busiest of all Golf Course Architects, former open champion James Braid was invited to advise on reconstruction. As Captain of Greenock Golf Club it gives me great pleasure in inviting friends old and new to the club and our 27 hole layout.

Both our 9 and 18 hole courses are of James Braid design, the heathland / moorland layout was established over a 100 years ago. Golf at Greenock is a pleasure times two. Choose to play from our 9 or 18 hole courses, each one carefully maintained and deeply satisfying in its own special way. The elevated site of the clubhouse provides magnificient views across the Firth of Clyde and the Argyllshire Hills beyond.

Our aim is to provide members and visitors with a friendly greeting, relaxed atmosphere, highest standards of service and real value for money is the hallmark of the Club.
