Set in the tranquil conservation village of the same name, Lochwinnoch Golf Club is an enjoyable 6,025-yard hillside course. The higher reaches of the course offer a vantage point for views of the surrounding Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire countryside.

The first is regarded as the signature hole, an intimidating 424-yard par-4 along the course boundary that doglegs left to an elevated three-tier green. Lochwinnoch then ascends its hillside setting towards the course’s highest point and a series of short holes around the turn. In this classic risk and reward stretch, reachable par-4s tempt longer hitters whilst also rewarding precise iron play to tight, heavily bunkered greens.

Visitors are invited to play throughout the year, with play welcome at weekends also. Guests will find a warm welcome in the recently refurbished clubhouse, with friendly staff at hand to serve an array of drinks and good value meals. Visitors looking to ready themselves for the challenge ahead are also welcome to use the club’s practice facilities.
