Dudsbury Golf Club

When the sun is shining there really isn’t a better place to play your golf than Dudsbury. A fine course for players of all ages and abilities, the course has played host to the BMW PGA Order of Merit Championship and the EGU MacGregor tournament, making it very prestigious round of golf.

Designed by Donald Steel and set in 160 acres of Dorset countryside, the course rolls gently down to the River Stour, with the clubhouse facing southwest, providing some excellent panoramic views.

Good course management, solid shooting, unflinching accuracy and sound club selection are crucial around here, particularly if you are hoping to score well. Streams run through the course under Purbeck stone bridges, which link the nine lakes with the river.

The greens are constructed to USGA specification and are sand based, well drained, and receptive and are protected by huge bunkers and water hazards to make things a bit more interesting. A feature hole is the 16th where the green is over two lakes and aggressive drives will be well rewarded.
