The elevated levels of this course offer no less than a truly magnificent setting for parkland golf; they also provide spectacular countryside views over Tamar Valley. Closer to home you can also take in the sight of historic Launceston and its 11th century castle which dominates the surrounding landscape.

Opened in 1910, it has remained as testing today as it ever was, the shortest par-4 on the course is over 350-yards and only the 5 par-3s allow the course length to remain at a fairly modest 6385 yards.

That being as it may, accuracy is still the most valued commodity on the course, its hedgerows, tree-lined fairways and a dry stone wall which borders the edge of several holes make sure of that.

The challenge here starts from the first tee and you might want to warm up your swing beforehand, it’s a daunting par-5 and from there it only gets more difficult - the second is the course’s hardest hole.
