The James Braid-designed course at St Austell Golf Club celebrates its centenary in 2011. Firmly established as one of the finest layouts in the area, St Austell recently undertook a series of enhancements to the course. Since 2004, hundreds of new trees have been planted and many bunkers relocated in order to help St Austell adjust to the advancements in equipment technology.

A layout that combines heathland and parkland elements, the course at St Austell undulates with the natural contours of the surrounding Cornish landscape. As the course rises to its peak some 100 feet high, gorse and heather predominantly provide the obstacles to be avoided, while in the lower part of the course, avenues of trees must be navigated.

Measuring 6,042 yards from the white tees, St Austell is sure to test golfers of any level, reflected in the SSS of 70, one above the par of 69.

A major refurbishment to the clubhouse in 2008 has provided a stylish, welcoming bar and lounge in which visitors are invited to relax and enjoy.

Expert PGA tuition is available, with a state of the art video studio with the technology necessary to improve your technique.
