Located in the beautiful Derwent Valley the established 18-hole golf course has spectacular views of the Cheviot Hills.

The moorland course has some of the most stunning scenery there is and the many mature trees dotted throughout the course provide both beauty and a challenge for the visiting golfer.

Its many tricky holes test your accuracy from tee to green, especially on the ninth where the tee-box is hidden in the gap between the trees.

The grounds and course itself is meticulously maintained with well-groomed fairways and manicured greens. In fact, the greens are so quick and smooth it might be a good idea to try out your short game skills on the practice ground before you start your round.

The par of 71 might seem generous for a course of its length but it acts only as an indication of the trials that await you once you tee off.

Strategically placed bunkers and numerous other hazards creep up on you when you least expect it and the rarely fail to punish any wayward shot.
