Don't let the word 'municipal' put you off - Abbey Hill is an absolutely cracking 18-hole golf course and simply one of the best pay-and-play venues in Milton Keynes. Recently bought from the local council by a private company, this venue is certainly on the up. The people behind the buy-out have invested vast sums of money in improving both the courses and the general facilities. The clubhouse and pro shop have just been refurbished while the courses itself has enjoyed the odd nip and tuck around the greens and fairways, a sort of tidying up procedure.

Because Abbey Hill is beginning to make a name for itself, you'll be required to book in advance in order to secure a tee time.
