Chartridge Park is something of a pioneer in
the world of golf as it was the first course to use the hotly debated
'Pin-Point System' from which each tee tells the golfer the exact location
of the pin on the green.
Situated within the Chiltern Hills, but still
easy on the legs, it is surrounded by a wealth of natural beauty, and
the numerous water features make for a tricky and challenging course.
Interestingly, the course was also designed
by John Jacobs, the legendary captain of the European Ryder Cup teams
in 1979 and 1981, and also the noteworthy winner of both of his games
in America in his Ryder Cup debut in 1955.
