Farthingstone Golf Club opened for the very first time in 1972 based upon extensive and very well thought out designs by M Gallagher. He made full and good use of the existing natural landscape and consequently the course has some wonderful features and many taxing hazards for you to overcome along the way if you are to take a scorecard worthy of boasting about back into the clubhouse with you when you have completed your round.
It is laid out on some fine woodland with plenty of mature trees casting an impressive but ominous presence upon many of the holes and lining the fairways. Don't spend too much time admiring the countryside or you could end up dropping a few shots.
