Treadaway Road, Flackwell Heath, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP10 9PE
Nestling between High Wycombe and Beaconsfield is a challenging heathland golf course guaranteed to test the ability of any player.
Originally designed as a nine-hole course designed by James Sherlock when it was established in 1904, club professional John Turner brought the second nine holes into play in 1907.
Described as a course of two classes, with level holes at the top and hilly ones on the lower slopes, the course has been frequently complimented on its superbly maintained greens and velvety turf.
Celebrating its centenary in 2004, the course is on wooded heathland and provides a fair test of golfing skill for all levels of player.
The challenge begins with two seemingly gentle par chances before a birdie opportunity rears its head at the par-3 third.
If you donít make the most of that chance, donít worry, there are two more par-3ís on the front nine.
The back nine, however, isnít quite so promising. From the 12th onwards there are no short holes and you are faced with tricky par-5ís and difficult par-4ís.
