This is an undulating parkland course built
around a ridge, with extensive views over Essex countryside. 14,000 trees have
been planted around attractive water hazards, enquiring you to use every club
in your bag. Garage Owner Peter Sjoberg (PMW) bought the land on the southern
edge of Epping Town and designed the holes in the early 90's.
 His
brother Neil, who had previously built simple courses for the YMCA, prepared the
planning application and organised the volunteers. Under the watchful eye of father
Charles Sjoberg (President), the wider Sjoberg family (who have a history of low
handicap golfers based around West Essex Golf Club) have all contributed. Each
development stage has funded the next with the help of enthusiastic volunteers.
The result is
an exceptionally friendly venue with very low cost golf and high quality greens
and fairways. The club are planning to build a new clubhouse in March on this
year.
