Address:
Newton Green, Sudbury,, Suffolk, CO10 OQN
Situated just three mile from the historic market town of Sudbury, this club’s unique lay-out provides an unequalled experience of heath and parkland golf. Founded more than 100 years ago as a nine holer, the course graduated to the full 18 in 1991 making it one of the most testing venues in Suffolk. You may want to remain somewhat conservative in the front nine, the fairways are decidedly tighter and as such it rewards clever positioning rather than brute force. However, the latter half of the course boasts open fairways and allows players to open up the shoulders which will be music to the ears of those who like nothing better than to unsheathe the driver and let rip. A proud point of interest for members at this club is that it was once home to the longest serving professional in the country ever. Arthur Daley was honoured at a special Professional Golfers Association awards ceremony for 60 years service at Newton on his retirement in 1979. Facilities Directions Advance Bookings |
