Developed in the late 90s, Tydd St Giles among the most modern golf clubs in the country. To meet the demands of today’s golfer the course has been carefully constructed to offer golf all-year-round and has also been designed with the rapid changes in golfing technology in mind. As such it’s a fairly long course, of around 6,700 yards during the summer months when the tees and greens are extended to their full length. This is enough to challenge even the most talented golfer, as well as to encourage improvers to test their development. The greens here, which have been designed sympathetically to incorporate the lay of the land and many of its natural features, are enticingly large giving even the average golfer a good chance of hitting most in regulation. But beware, you’ll have to ensure you’re putting’s up to scratch, some of them are fifty yards long. If you’re not too comfortable with 80-footers you can put in some practice at the two 9-hole putting courses or try your hand at target golf on the undercover floodlit driving range.
