Designed by the legendary Scottish golf course architect, James Braid, the course at Wanstead Golf Club exhibits all the typical characteristics of a Braid design. The Scottish golfing legend and five times Open champion is widely regarded as the greatest ever British course designer and has lent his skills to many of the best known courses in the UK.

This course could well be considered amongst them, with an array of testing hazards and other natural obstacles for you to overcome if you are to stand a chance of scoring well here. It first opened its doors to golfers in 1893, and now, in its 111th year, is every bit as popular as it was all those years ago.
