The Meon at Meon Valley, a Marriot Hotel and Country Club, is an 18-hole championship golf course that ambles naturally over its scenic Hampshire landscape. Located near Southampton, the parkland layout winds through avenues of majestic English oak trees, with sizeable bunkers and water features providing hazards en route to subtly undulating greens. The Meon course at Meon Valley is the only course in Hampshire to have hosted a European Tour event; coming in the form of the Philips PFA Golf Classics of 1998 and 1999.

The sternest test at the Meon course comes early in the round. The second hole is a monster 448-yard par-4 that requires two pure strikes to reach. Thereafter, four par-3s and three par-5s contribute to the Meon course’s par of 71. The par-3 12th is a highlight: an intimidating tee-shot to a green guarded by water on three sides is sure to test any golfer’s nerve.

Visitors are also welcome to prepare for their round at the driving range. The adjoining four-star hotel provides a comfortable atmosphere in which to reflect upon your game while enjoying a selection of foods and beverages.
