This delightful little nine-holer is situated on the grounds of Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight, just off the south coast of England.

Although you have the opportunity to play the same round twice here, you’ll need the practice as, at a distance from the first tee to the eighteenth green of six-and-a-half-thousand yards, this is course is not one to be taken lightly.

It has several long holes, four among them are par-4s of around 400 yards, meaning at least a mid-iron for the approach, provided that you land safely on the fairway. If not you may be looking at three just to make the green.

However, there’s a good chance to lower you’re score on the par-3 sixth, the course’s signature hole. Hit this tricky green in regulation and you could walk away with birdie.

It’s a parkland lay-out with several woods and copses on show and if you stop on the fairways for long enough and you might just catch a glimpse of the endangered red squirrels that call Osbourne House home.
