Wiltshire’s downland countryside is the tranquil setting for the course at Upavon Golf Club. The location has been a course in some fashion since 1912, when 10 holes and 18 tees were laid out for the recreation of the nearby Royal Flying Corps (later to become the RAF). The departure of the RAF and Upavon’s rebirth as a civilian members’ club in 1993 instigated the enhancement of the course to its current 18-hole layout. The excellent natural drainage of the terrain means Upavon is available for play throughout the year.

Masuring 6,402 yards from the white tees, and 5,407 from the reds, the course at Upavon will test all facets of a golfer’s game. The fairways at Upavon rise and dip towards tight greens protected by natural undulations and punishing bunkers. An array of wildlife is to be seen at Upavon, including skylarks, partridge and quail.

Visitors to Upavon Golf Club are invited to take advantage of the inviting clubhouse facilities. The club professional at Upavon is also at hand to offer expert tuition to members and non-members alike.
