Coventry Hearsall

This interesting and well-established course offers an individual and interesting test of golf for all who play there.

Situated in the heart of the Midlands, it is a great club with a great history. What sets this club apart from the rest is the visitors it can boast, including Open Champion Walter Hagen in 1933 and the fact that a former assistant professional, Ralph Moffitt, featured in the 1961 Ryder Cup team.

The 13th is one of the best holes at Hearsall, a tree-lined hole either side of the fairway, which can be driven by the longer hitters. Generally played with an iron to the bottom of the slope and a short iron to the green, which rises sharply from the front to the middle where it flattens out. There are also bunkers to the right but there are birdie opportunities do exist.

Featuring contouring fairways, well-manicured greens and an abundance of truly memorable holes, the course is complimented by a recent rebuilding and refurbishment of the clubhouse and changing rooms of the highest standard.
