Designed by world-renowned commentator and golf course designer, Peter Alliss, the course at Barlaston Golf Club opened in 1977. Situated on undulating meadowland south of Stoke-on-Trent, only an hour from Manchester or Birmingham, Barlaston follows the contours of the River Trent, meaning water is a regular hazard throughout.

At around 5,800 yards long, sheer power alone will not prevail over the par-69 Barlaston course. Precision is paramount in negotiating testing water features that guard the tight, borrowing greens that justly reward good shots. Thoughtful course management is the greatest asset a player can have when confronting the challenges Barlaston presents.
