Named after an 11th century castle built by Thurstan de Montfort, Beaudesert Park Golf Club is set in 180 acres of spectacular unspoilt countryside. Formerly known as Haven Pastures Golf Club, Beaudesert Park is always being improved and the next major refurbishment plans will be the provision of all weather cart paths, a brand new clubhouse and has also recently had a Starbucks coffee facility fitted.
Situated in Shakespeare’s country overlooking the picturesque village of Henley-in-Arden, the challenging heathland course boasts subtly contouring fairways with mature and newly planted trees.
The par-3 sixth hole is a highlight; straightforward enough to secure a decent score but with panoramic views from the tee it makes this one worth waiting for. Run the gauntlet on the par-518th where a lake cuts across the middle of the fairway but be careful when avoiding the water not to be caught out by the sand trap to the left.
Most of the fairways are generous enough for slicers to be afforded a reasonable second shot and the greens are very quick.
