One of the new golf courses of Lancashire, Charnock Richard was established in 1994. The 18-hole course winds its way into the small, scenic village of Charnock Richard.
The objective was to produce a course that could be enjoyed by the beginner and the scratch golfer alike. The tees and greens were built to an exacting specification and most of the greens can be played in winter. The signature hole of the course is the 512 yard sixth - daunting to all golfers - with three ponds and an island green. A large man-made lake is used to full effect at the end of the course.
The club also operates an exclusive Italian restaurant ' Figaro's ' within the clubs facilities creating a delightful almost cosmopolitan atmosphere.
