Situated just two miles in a south westerly direction off the A632 in Derbyshire, Chesterfield, an 18 hole layout, will provide an enjoyable day's golf for all budding visitors. Described by many as a varied and interesting undoubtedly lives up to its healthy reputation. A number of trees add to the picturesque nature of the holes and, of course, the outlook itself.

The opening hole is a reasonably short par four at 293 yards, giving bigger hitters a prime opportunity of starting their round in style. However, Chesterfield holds its very own Amen corner. Like Augusta National, Chesterfield closes its front nine and opens its back nine courtesy of a number of card-wrecking holes.The par five ninth is followed by a tough par four, then another par five. Relief comes at the par three twelfth, however, you are then introduced to the toughest hole on the course, unsurprisingly the thirteenth, a 453-yard par four.

Your closing hole round here is another par five, so don't amble on to the eighteenth tee in too relaxed a fashion believing you are somewhat home and dry. Undoubtedly one of Derbyshire's more favoured courses, Chesterfield is well worth the visit.
