Majestically positioned, 850 feet above sea level on Matlock Moor, this is a course which calls for accuracy rather than long-hitting. It was designed and laid-out in 1907 by renowned professional and course architect Tom Williamson and is today known as one of the finest in Derbyshire.

A round here promises to be a memorable experience. Each hole has something new in store for the unsuspecting visitor and the Bentley Brook which snakes its way through the course adds another dimension to shot and club selection. it's without saying a venue to challenge all that play it.

Trees, heather, ravines and gullies are among the other notable features and be sure to catch a glimpse of the Cuckoo Stone as you walk the 11th fairway. A grit stone rock, it is the inspiration for the club’s motif.
