South Herefordshire Golf & Country Club

Built in 1990, South Herefordshire has recently undergone a full transformation after new management took over in 2005.

The team quickly improved the facilities and golf course by introducing fanastic practice facilities like the 12-bay floodlit driving range and nine-hole par-3 academy course.

Similarly, the course has been improved by some significant investment in new, state-of0the-art equipment and the most obvious alterations are seen on the tightly mown fairways and smooth, fast running greens.

Located in the heart of Shropshire, the Twin Lakes course here offers one of the most challenging tests of golf around.

There is more than the occasional hazard to beware of if you are working your way towards a low score as some of the fairways are especially narrow and you will require a steady swing if you are to avoid plunging into the rough.

The greens are also particularly well protected by a series of cleverly positioned bunkers.

The course is known for the beauty of its rolling hills and picturesque valleys and the course commands views over three counties.
