Founded in 1904 on land close to Dimsdale Hall, this club is not only one of the oldest in the area but one of the best.

Its undulating parkland lay-out set amid mature trees can boast one of the most challenging settings for a round of golf that you could experience anywhere. With a number of difficult par-3s, six in total, you’ll have to be on very top form with you’re irons if you want to play to your handicap here.

Away from the course the clubhouse is home to all the amenities that you would ever want. It has a well-appointed dining room, which is popular among all of the club’s members for it’s selection of fine food and drink, two bars for those of us who like to rewind with a stiff one after a round and ladies and gentlemen’s locker rooms.

For those with a more competitive streak there still opportunity to show off your sporting prowess with a frame on the club’s snooker table and a snooker table.
