One of the oldest clubs in Lincolnshire, Canwick Park has a mature parkland setting and enjoys extensive views of Lincoln Cathedral and Lincolnshire Wolds. One of the county’s hidden gems, its life began in 1893 as South Park Golf Club and was originally a 9-hole.
Throughout the club’s history it has occupied many different sites and it took 0ver 70 years before it settled on Canwick Place. Designed in by Hawtree and Sons the course has also under gone several course re-designs that have made it the stunning parkland course it is today.
With a reputation for being a thinking mans course there are two testing par-3’s at the fifth and 13th which are great fun to play with a course layout that really makes you stop and think.
With an abundance of attractive trees and fantastic water features each hole is a delight to experience with the 13th in particular a visual treat with an enormous swarm of trees that encircle the lush green.
It will test your mental strength and intelligence perhaps more than your physical capabilities but a round at Canwick Park will be all the more rewarding for it.
