Elsham is a tranquil, well-wooded course set
on the eastern edge of the Ancholme Valley, not far from the escarpment of the
Lincolnshire Wolds. It is a verdant challenge without being too difficult. Players
will enjoy a relaxing round without undue fatigue.
 Each
hole presents its own particular test to scratch and higher handicaps alike. After
a straightforward par four start, the second hole presents a challenge. This 350
yard par 4 has a sharp dog leg to the right and an accurate tee shot is needed
to present the best opportunity for a short iron second to a green guarded by
trees and a stream. It is a thinking man's course
with a round followed by a visit to the welcoming and modern clubhouse which accommodates
both large and small societies.
