Sandilands Golf Club

Sandilands is a course suitable for golfers of all abilities and all ages. It’s virtually flat with only subtle undulations and as such it offers the opportunity for its players to participate in some excellent target golf.

The course is well renowned for its outstanding greens and the diligence of the greenstaff who ensure it is kept playable all year round. Of course this is something towards which the constituency of its sandy sub-soil and low annual rainfall contribute.

Strategically placed bunkers and some intimidating tee shots make it a very challenging 18-holes, despite it fairly short yardage of 6,000. Couple this with a range of holes with their own distinct character and you have a course that’s going to test every element of you’re game.

Two risk or reward holes to note are the 8th and 11th. On the dogleg 8th take the inside route to shorten the hole substantially but avoid the bunker at its apex. Whereas, at the 11th an inviting tee shot played across the sea to cut the corner could pay dividends or end in disaster.
