Founded in 2006, Acanthus Golf Centre is the newest in the area.

It offers a nine-hole course and state-of-the-art practice facilities including a two-tier 40-bay driving range, video analysis and short game area, as well as four custom built teaching bays.

The course provides the perfect environment for beginners and seasoned golfers alike.

A period of redesign in November 2006 and improved tees and greens make the course a perfect compliment to the superb range, and gives golfers of every ability an all-round great golf experience.

For the novice, the course is forgiving to the odd wayward drive due to the majority of adjourning fairways being defined by grass banking instead of the more testing trees and rough.

The course may be short, but don’t let that fool you, especially the more experienced. The varying fairways make you stop and think twice about your club selection.

The pro-shop, “The Golf Bunker” caters for golfers of all ages, stages and genders. Also on-site there is five-star fitness gym, conference facilities and a recommended restaurant.
