Bentham Golf Club

Situated in North Yorkshire, Bentham Golf Course enjoys stunning views the Three Peaks area, famous for its wonderful scenery that will doubtless provide any player a welcome distraction whilst playing the course.

Dubbed the Augusta of the Dales due to its seven ponds that make up the main hazards on the course, the course also enjoys a superb standard of green and fairway alike.

The signature hole on the course is the par-3 eighth where an elevated tee disguises the pond that separates fairway from green. Originally a nine-hole course, after many attempts it was finally extended in 2003 to a full 18 in an effort to attract more members to the club.

The course re design has been praised for retaining the unique character of the old course while presenting new challenges for every level of player.

Bentham is by no means a pushover and players will have to overcome some interesting holes if they are to attain par. In particular the ninth where a left hand dog leg can prove confusing for beginners.

With the course open 7-days a week, members and visitors should revel in being able to play such great moorland course at any time.
