Boothferry Golf Club

The quaint meadowland course at Boothferry Golf Club is one of the most enjoyable in Yorkshire, and often the pinnacle of many golfing trips to the area. Located in the peaceful Vale of York, Boothferry was conceived by contemporary golf course architect Donald Steel.

Visitors are often warned to beware of the ‘spectacle’ bunkers on the seventh hole; two hazardous traps that have put paid to the aspirations of countless members and guests alike. Natural dykes dissect the meadowland layout and present a danger that has to be navigated on a number of holes. The par-3 fifth is often picked as the highlight of the course: a shot to a tight green that lies beyond a water feature requires an exact strike to find.
