Situated on the verge of Morecambe Bay, the course at Heysham belies its coastal location. A lush parkland layout rather than a links, the course at Heysham is, nonetheless, still exposed to gusting winds from the Irish Sea.

This can make several of the holes, including seven par-4s over 400 yards, very challenging, with consistent ball-striking required throughout.

19 acres of marshland at the centre of the course are designated as a reserve for flora and fauna, and offer sanctuary to foxes, deer and many species of birds and wildlife find sanctuary.

The classic Art Deco clubhouse provides superb views over the course and to the Irish Sea beyond. It is the ideal place to unwind and reflect upon a thoroughly enjoyable day’s golf. For further entertainment, the full-size snooker table offers a chance to either find redemption or rub salt in the wounds.

Heysham Golf Club also offer fantastic practice facilities, with visitors welcome to hone their skills at the six-bay driving range. It is advisable to pre-book your game at Heysham to ensure your preferred tee-time.
