The pleasant course at Knott End Golf Club has the distinction of having been designed by legendary golf course architect James Braid, and first opened its doors to golfers in 1911. Now, 96 years on, it is still as popular as it was back then, enjoying an active membership and the visits of several golfers from all over the county, who come to pit their wits against the challenges this course sets.

It is a links style course located just outside Poulton and is quite undulating. You will encounter several natural hazards on you way around the course as well as the odd man-made one. The par-3s are especially difficult in windy conditions, so be sure to give plenty club when the wind gusts.
