Designed by Frank Pennink at the behest of the Merseyside Jewish Golfing Society in 1950, the course at Lee Park Golf Club was the first new layout to be built following the following the end of WWII . Located not far from Liverpool city centre, a notable early treat for members was a clubhouse performance of a local band known as the Quarry Men, who included a young John Lennon.

An easy-walking parkland layout, the course at Lee Park Golf Club places a premium on accuracy from the tee, rewarded by preferential approaches to greens often guarded by water hazards. At 5,959 yards long, the par-70 Lee Park course necessitates a crafty short-game to prevail over tight, undulating greens.

A traditional clubhouse includes modernized changing and shower facilities that visitors are welcome to make use of. The spike bar that overlooks the course is the ideal place to reflect on a rewarding round while enjoying the full range of excellent catering facilities available. Visitors are also allowed to prepare for their round at Lee Park by taking advantage of the club’s practice facilities, which include a covered driving range.
