Willow Valley Golf

Home of the Yorkshire P.G.A Championship , Willow Valley has been voted among the top ten new course in the British Isles.

Designed very much in the style of courses that feature across the Atlantic, this course will challenge the skills of the most experienced golfer. Built to USPGA standards the it’s characterized as parkland with shaped greens and fairways and deep bunkers. It also has the added interest of water which features on 11 of its 18 holes.

One feature we think you’ll appreciate is the island green on the 14th. A 408-yard par-4 it’s going to take two good digs to reach the green in regulation and for those who don’t quite catch the driver off the tee it may prove to be more prudent to lay up and attempt to go close with a chip across the water with their third.

One of the most prestigious courses on the GFS list this year, it’s an absolutely fantastic venue but at over 7000 yards at its longest, not one for those who shirk a challenge.
