Canmore Golf Club

Canmore is a pleasant, well maintained eighteen hole parkland course. With a par of 67 the course is moderate in length, a good test of accuracy and demands a good short game. The course provides enjoyable and challenging golf for enthusiasts at all levels of ability. Dress should be smart but can be casual.

Canmore was founded in 1897 and has been at its present site since 1902. Until 1913 the course consisted of 9 holes. The 18 hole course opened in 1914. The present day layout was designed in 1946 - the course having been used to help the war effort in both world wars. In 1959 the new clubhouse was opened, at its present site, which involved renumbering the holes. Since then the clubhouse has been modernised and extended.

The club welcomes all visitors looking for a pleasant game of golf, including visiting parties and corporate outings. Club professional Jim McKinnon and his assistant are ready to provide advice and club repair services in addition to the well stocked shop offering competitve prices. Full bar and catering services are available in the well appointed clubhouse overlooking the eighteenth green. The club provides quality food at affordable prices in pleasant surroundings.
