Only 15 minutes from the heart of the ‘Home of Golf’, St Andrews, Scotscraig is an interesting blend of links and heathland course. Founded in 1817 by the society that evolved to become R&A, the present day course remains largely unchanged from that planned in 1923 by legendary course designer James Braid.

Though located inland, players must still regularly contend with the demands of a stiff sea breeze. 6,669 yards from the championship tees, the complexity and quality of Scotscraig is recognized by its selection as a Final Qualifying course for the Open Championship in the years St Andrews plays host.

Visitors are invited to relax in the Maitland Dougal Lounge in which freshly prepared meals, bar snacks and refreshing beverages are served throughout the day. The club PGA professional is at hand to provide expert tuition for those whose swings are out of kilter. Scotscraig also has its own practice area and putting green for golfers looking to steel themselves for the challenge ahead.
