Address: Durness, Sutherland, IV27 4PN

Located in the North West tip of Scotland, it is the most northerly course on mainland Britain. A course that prides itself on its remoteness that guarantees its visitors a peaceful round in stunning surroundings. A tough test it is well worth the trip for those looking for a different type of round.

Despite having only 9 greens, the uses of different tees for the back nine ensure that there is a completely different challenges in the second half of the round. Indeed the 18th hole is one of the most photographed holes in the country. The picturesque scenery providing the backdrop for many golf magazines and tourist brochures.

Whilst the 18th may be worth the green fee alone, Durness is far from a one-hole course. Try the mammoth par 5 15th that is dominated by Loch Lanlish where players must decide to risk playing over the Loch or taking the safer route around. Durness offers rewarding golf in friendly surroundings with catering available in the comfortable clubhouse after one of the most stunning rounds of golf in the country.
