Address: Markethill, Fort Augustus, Inverness-shire, PH32 4AU

Just off the A82 at the west edge of the village of Fort Augustus is a golf course that provides a test for even those with low handicappers as well as being a challenge to those just beginning. Despite being only nine holes in length each hole has two tee lengths allowing for different front and back nines.

Regarded as the hardest nine hole course in Scotland the dense heather that lie along the long narrow fairways mean that accurate driving is a must. Putting also presents a challenge with the courses immaculate greens offering varying speeds and lines that make reading them difficult.

With the course lined by the Caledonian Canal on one side and heathery hills of Lochunagan on the other the views fro the clubhouse are spectacular. Whilst there visitors can enjoy the delights of the clubs excellent lounge bar after a fantastic round of golf.
