Address: Skeabost House Hotel, Skeabost Bridge, By Portree, Isle of Skye, IV51 9NP

If you’re planning a relaxing break on the picturesque Isle of Skye there’s really no better place for the golf lover than Skeabost House Hotel. Located in private grounds on the edge of Loch Snizort, the house is steeped in history and was originally a hunting retreat of the notorious MacDonald clan.

Now a luxury hotel, it’s home to a delightful nine-hole, 18 tee course, which winds its way through the picturesque loch side gardens, providing spectacular cliff-top views.

The course itself is short by today’s standards but provides many tricky holes that will at times leave you scratching your head. None more so than the 4th, named the ‘Glory Hole’ it’s only 90 yards in length but underestimate it to your peril. The green is well protected by bunkers and, coupled with the trees that lie in wait, it demands accuracy at all costs.

A very affordable and enjoyable day of golf awaits you here, so why not plan your trip to Skeabost straight away? We’re sure you won’t be disappointed.
