Golf in America

Please select a region in the United States.

Arizona Hilton Head Pinehurst
California Las Vegas San Diego
Carolinas Myrtle Beach Seattle
Charleston Nevada Scotsdale
Florida Palm Springs Texas
Georgia

Some say that in order to get a true representation of the very best golf America has to offer, your research must begin and ends with the Carolinas, the area comprising Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Charleston and Pinehurst. But, without putting too fine a point on it, that’s like advising a visiting holiday golfer to go and play somewhere in St Andrews, Scotland, but not bother checking out the Ayrshire coast or, indeed, the Moray coastline where there’s no end to quality golf courses.

But, that said, with the winds blowing across the Gulfstream waters of the South Atlantic, Carolina offers respite and relaxation for golfers looking to for the very best of American-style golf. The areas of Myrtle Beach, also known as the Grand Strand, Charleston, one of America’s historic treasures, and Hilton Head Island are simply mouth-watering prospects offering no end of fun with the sticks. There are hundreds and hundreds of golf courses to choose from and plenty of cut-price deals including accommodation packages to put a smile on your face.

If you want to experience the best of American-style desert golf then head straight for Arizona, where a myriad of wonderfully eye-catching bright green courses await. Scottsdale is bouncing with high-class championship venues, as are the likes of Las Vegas and Nevada. It’s simply a case of finding out through your tour operator which one meets your requirements price-wise and if any local accommodation providers are running special deals for visitors.

The Us is also not short of a few surprises for keen traveling golfers. San Diego might never have been on your list of Uncle Sam’s finest golf getaways but, take it from us, it is spectacular part of the States to enjoy some holiday golf. Seattle is also superb for visiting golfers and it offers quite a different culture and off-course experience than any of the major American holiday golf destinations.

Plenty of golf tour operators specialise in trips to the States and many focus specifically on the Carolinas – but make sure you keep your options open. Whoever you book with, it is certain to be a golf holiday you will remember for a long time.
