Situated in Daingean, County Offaly, this oasis of golfing excellence in the midlands has marked itself down as one of the most invigorating courses on the Irish sporting landscape. Allied to the Golfing Union of Ireland, Castle Barna is an enjoyable 18-hole course.

It is a revitalizing test of golf on the banks of the Grand Canal laid out on rolling parkland with plenty of mature trees, natural streams and easygoing terrain. Golfers of all abilities will find it immensely enjoyable. The short ninth, at just 123 yards, is a particular highlight, where three bunkers protect the front of the green. Miss the green and you could fine it very hard to recover. Being only an hour from Dublin and all major ports, Castle Barna is a popular venue for members, visitors and societies alike.
