Address: Balcarrick, Donabate, Co. Dublin,

Donabate enjoys one of the most unique and perfect locations in Ireland. Just 15 minutes from Dublin airport it is the perfect spot for travelling golfers to catch some local golf and is also just 12 miles from Dublin city centre.

And despite its close proximity to the city, it still retains a country charm and character all of its own thanks to its situation just half a mile from the sea. Founded in 1925, the course was extended in the mid-nineties to offer 27 holes of pure, Irish golf.

Split into three sets of nine which can be enjoyed in a variety of combinations, the nines each consist of a mixture of old and new for a refreshing and invigorating golfing experience.

The sand based greens provide an excellent putting surface and mature trees are dotted throughout the course while water comes into play on eight of the holes. Unless you are well positioned from the tee and take care over your club selection your ball could find itself nestling in a watery grave.
