Although a ‘new’ venue this course bears all the hallmarks of a championship veteran. Voted as one of the top ten courses in Ireland it has been carefully designed by Ryder Cup hero Christy O’Connor to test the golfing skills of even the top professional players.

Being a club that has its sight set on hosting the Irish Open you can be sure that it’s is maintained to the very highest standards. At a length of over 7,000 yards it’s also a tough test but rest in the knowledge that the fairways are fairly open and the rough kept tight enough for you to enjoy all the benefits a round at Headfort has to offer.

Among those benefits are the stunning parkland views provided by the River Blackwater as it criss-crosses its way through the course. Water is a strong feature here and it comes into play on no less than 13 holes giving it that real ‘wow’ factor.
