Headfort Old Course

One of the finest examples of long-established parkland course, Hertfort is located just outside the ancient town of Kells and only 30miles from Dublin. If your due to play here in the near future you’re really in for a treat, its luscious wooded parkland setting will really take your breath away.

Considered slightly easier than its newer neighbour, which was designed by Ryder Cup Hero Christy O’Connor, this course has hosted the PGA Championships which should give you some indication of its quality.

Established in 1928, it has long been known as one of the top resorts in the country and is renowned for its magnificent selection of mature native trees which enhance its picturesque setting - and provide obstacles for those who’ve just watch their drives slip off-course. While it may be the shorter of the two courses it still requires pin-point accuracy.

A truly magnificent golf resort the jury is still out on which course is the better. Either way Headfort is a must play for anyone looking for a game in Co. Meath this year.
