Address: Killenard, County Laois, Ireland,

The Heritage Golf and Spa resort is home to one of the most remarkable courses in the country. Designed by golfing legend Seve Ballesteros, it’s set in the rolling countryside of County Laois in the charming village of Killenard and provides the most enjoyable experience for golfers of all abilities.

Part of the challenge here are the five lakes and a stream that meanders its way through the course. In total these hazards come into play on ten holes so, as you can imagine, accuracy is a must. Add to that 98 beautifully shaped bunkers and 7,000 trees and you have a real challenge on your hands.

The court is flat and at its full length plays no more than 7319 yards, quite a distance yes, but there are a few holes where you can really let fly off the tee.

Off the course the facilities are quite simply tremendous - a five-star hotel with tennis court, health club, indoor and outdoor bowls stadium and its own golf school – need we say any more.
