Address: 84 Warren Road, Donaghadee, County Down, Ireland, BT21 0PQ

Founded in 1899 it is one of the oldest golf clubs in the area and boasts a part seaside and part open parkland format.

Challenging but fair, Donaghadee commands beautiful scenic views over the Copeland Islands, Scottish Coast and of course, the bordering Irish Sea. The course features very little in the way of punishing rough but what it lacks in that respect it make up for in several water hazards which lurk around the course to catch the unthinking shot.

Having recently undergone some impressive changes, Donaghadee has introduced 100 new trees, 500 gorse bushes, reshaped and modified bunkers, as well as even more water hazards to throw up a number of surprises to catch out the unsuspecting player.

Host to the Irish Boys’ Championship in 2001, the course boasts an excellent but intimidating finishing hole. The 18th features out of bounds on the left and on the right, while the sea breeze can wreak havoc with your club selection. A practice ground and putting green are available and a well-appointed and welcoming clubhouse.
