Dungannon Golf Club, steeped in tradition, was founded in 1890 and is in fact one of the eight founding Clubs of the Golfing Union of Ireland. Moving to its present location in 1954 the club has continues to improve and expand its facilities until now it is considered to be one of the best inland courses in the country.

Taking advantage of its well drained 100 acres the 6046 yard, par 72 course offers a different challenge at every hole. Generous fairways give plenty of space to avoid the rough, but wayward shots can be costly. A balanced layout makes a pleasurable round for both handicap and scratch golfers. Good course management is necessary to allow safe negotiation of the water hazards and the true running greens are a fair test for "the short game".

After the game relax in a clubhouse built for comfort and craic. There are views over the 7th and 18th greens - and the first drive of the round. Good food, good drink, good company. These new clubhouse facilities, opened in March 2000, ensure that Dungannon Golf Club is able to cater for groups, clubs and societies in the friendly manner which creates a desire to return to this golfing gem.
